Sri Lankan Rupee Weakens Further Against US Dollar

The Sri Lankan Rupee recorded a further decline against the US dollar today (09), according to the latest exchange rates released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).

CBSL data showed that the buying rate of the US dollar increased to Rs. 332.38, while the selling rate rose to Rs. 342.08.

In comparison, on the previous trading day (08), the dollar was quoted at a buying rate of Rs. 331.22 and a selling rate of Rs. 341.04.

The latest figures indicate a continued depreciation of the rupee against the US currency.
