A tense situation arose today in front of the Colombo Fort Railway Station when a prominent figure from the 2022 'Aragalaya' protest movement, widely known as "Jean Aunty," was heckled and chased away by demonstrators attending the Satyagraha for former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Chief Suresh Sallay.

The Satyagraha, organized by several opposition political parties and members of the Maha Sangha, was held to protest the ongoing detention and alleged cruel treatment of Major General (Retd.) Suresh Sallay. The gathering took a volatile turn when the Aragalaya activist arrived at the location, prompting immediate hostility from the crowd.

Protesters quickly surrounded her, shouting abusive language and blaming the Aragalaya movement for the country's current political and economic state. "You went to Galle Face, now get out of here! The country is suffering today because of what you people did," an angry demonstrator was filmed shouting.

The crowd further mocked her by bringing up long-standing political insults connected to the 2022 protests, accusing her of being driven by external motives and challenging her right to protest at their event
