Police said the victim, a resident of Mamadala, was assaulted with a wooden stick. Preliminary investigations revealed that an argument between the victim and his father-in-law escalated into violence, resulting in the fatal attack. The suspect, identified as the victim’s father-in-law, has been taken into custody.
The body has been placed at the Ambalantota Hospital mortuary pending further legal proceedings. Ambalantota Police are continuing investigations into the incident.
