Former head of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), Suresh Sallay, has been admitted to the National Hospital of Sri Lanka for medical treatment.

Hospital sources stated that Major General (Retired) Sallay was admitted to the hospital’s Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) and is currently receiving medical care. The nature of his condition has not been officially disclosed.

No further details regarding his health status or the circumstances leading to his admission were immediately available.

Major General (Retd.) Sallay previously served as the Director of Sri Lanka’s State Intelligence Service and held several senior positions within the military during his career.
