According to the Ministry, the policy framework is currently being developed by an expert committee under the guidance of Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
As part of the policy development process, several rounds of discussions have already been held with a wide range of stakeholders representing the education and higher education sectors. In parallel, the Ministry has decided to seek public input to ensure broader participation in shaping the future direction of higher education in Sri Lanka.
To facilitate this process, an online questionnaire has been made available on the Higher Education Division’s website. Members of the public are invited to submit their ideas, recommendations and feedback through the survey.
The questionnaire can be accessed via the Ministry’s website at mohe.gov.lk
The Ministry encourages all interested individuals and stakeholders to contribute their perspectives to support the development of a comprehensive and inclusive national policy framework for higher education.
