Minister Nalinda meets Kirivehera Chief Prelate

Health and Mass Media Minister Nalinda Jayatissa recently visited the historic Kataragama Kirivehera Raja Maha Viharaya and met with the Chief Incumbent and Chief Sanghanayake of Ruhunu Magampattuwa, the Venerable Kobawaka Dhamminnda Nayaka Thero.

During the visit, the Minister inquired about the well-being of the prelate and received blessings. Discussions were also held on the country’s current economic and social situation, as well as ongoing progress and future development plans in the health sector.

The Chief Prelate offered blessings and delivered an oration emphasizing the social responsibility of the Sangha for the welfare and prosperity of the people. Minister Jayatissa expressed his gratitude, stating that the guidance and blessings would strengthen the government’s future efforts for national development and public welfare.

The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development R. M. Jayawardena and Kataragama Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman H. N. D. Herath, along with other officials.
