In a statement, the company said it has decided to keep prices stable in order to ease the financial burden on consumers, even as the international LPG market continues to face challenges such as geopolitical tensions, commodity price fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, and higher freight charges.
Accordingly, in the Colombo District, the price of a 12.5 kg domestic LP gas cylinder will remain at Rs. 6,245, while the 5 kg cylinder will continue to be sold at Rs. 2,500.
LAUGFS Gas stated that it has implemented measures to improve supply chain efficiency and operational performance, enabling the company to absorb a significant portion of the increased costs without passing them on to customers.
The announcement follows a similar decision by Litro Gas Lanka, which earlier confirmed that its domestic LP gas prices would also remain unchanged for June.
