The suspect was ordered to be held in remand custody after being produced before the Horana Magistrate’s Court today (June 4).
The fire, which erupted at the “Senehase Kedella” residence on the night of June 3, claimed the lives of 12 people and left several others injured.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze, while further legal proceedings are expected as inquiries continue.
