Chief of staff to the president meets UN representatives

A meeting between the Chief of Staff to the President, Prabath Chandrakeerthi and the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Sri Lanka, Marc-André Franche, was held this morning (04) at the Presidential Secretariat.

Discussions focused on further strengthening the longstanding humanitarian cooperation between Sri Lanka and the United Nations.

Extensive discussions were also held on the ongoing rehabilitation and recovery efforts being carried out under the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ programme following the Ditwah cyclone, as well as the implementation of future activities under the Humanitarian Priorities Plan (HPP), which covers the period from December 2025 to April 2026.

Representatives of the United Nations, including Azam Bakeer Marker, Vageesha Perera and TCMNRT Cooray, also attended the meeting.
