The affected students, who are from Grades 6 to 13, were reportedly stung when a swarm of wasps attacked within the school premises. Teachers and school staff acted swiftly to assist the students and alert emergency services.
The injured students were immediately transported to the Aralaganwila Divisional Hospital for medical treatment. Hospital officials said the students are currently receiving care and are being closely monitored.
Authorities are expected to investigate the incident and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of students and staff at the school.
