The Governor made these remarks following a meeting with US Under Secretary of State Jacob Helberg today ( 02) at the US Department of State in Washington, D.C.
According to Governor Yusoof, discussions focused on enhancing bilateral economic relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting also examined Sri Lanka’s future economic development plans and the potential role of US investment and technology in key sectors, including ports, logistics, energy and data centres.
Governor Yusoof noted that the discussions were productive and forward-looking, adding that the US official showed a strong understanding of Sri Lanka’s growth prospects and expressed interest in supporting the country’s efforts to accelerate investment and economic expansion.
