Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), led by captain , were crowned champions of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) after defeating by five wickets in the final on May 31.Chasing a target of 156 runs, RCB reached 161 for 5 in just 18 overs to secure the IPL 2026 trophy.


The final was played at the iconic , the world's largest cricket stadium. After winning the toss, Patidar elected to field first, inviting Gujarat Titans to bat.

RCB's bowlers made an early impact, reducing Gujarat Titans to 26 for 2. Despite efforts from their middle order, Gujarat Titans could only manage 155 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, RCB produced a composed batting performance, successfully chasing down the target with two overs to spare. The Bengaluru side finished on 161 for 5 in 18 overs, sealing a memorable victory and lifting the IPL 2026 championship.

The triumph marks a historic achievement for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, as Patidar's men delivered under pressure on the biggest stage to claim the coveted IPL crown.
