The pandals depict the Sambula Jataka story, constructed by the Magazine United Traders' Sri Vaishakya Society in Borella, and the Samudra Vanija Jataka story, erected at Kosgas Junction in Grandpass.
Members of the Maha Sangha, religious leaders of other faiths, Members of Parliament, senior police officials, trade association representatives, and a large number of residents attended the event.
