Sri Lanka has recorded more than one million tourist arrivals so far this year, marking a significant milestone for the country's tourism sector.

According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), the total number of tourist arrivals from the beginning of the year has reached 1,010,807.

The authority also reported that 134,530 tourists have arrived in the country since the beginning of May, reflecting the continued growth of Sri Lanka's tourism industry.

The latest figures highlight the sector's strong recovery and its contribution to the national economy, with tourism remaining one of the country's key sources of foreign exchange earnings.

Tourism officials expect visitor numbers to continue rising in the coming months as Sri Lanka remains an attractive destination for international travelers seeking cultural, natural, and leisure experiences.
