The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka has introduced a new digital investment platform aimed at attracting foreign investors by providing direct access to 30 structured and investment-ready projects across several sectors.

The platform, branded “Ready to Invest,” has been launched through www.readytoinvestsl.com

According to the BOI, the platform showcases investment opportunities in eight major sectors, including tourism and leisure, manufacturing, transport and logistics, ICT, innovation and technology park development, agriculture and agro processing, urban and mixed-use development, aviation, ports and maritime infrastructure, as well as renewable energy and sustainability.

The BOI stated that the initiative has been created to link international investors with projects that are already structured and prepared for global investment partnerships.

Referring to Sri Lanka’s economic outlook, the BOI noted that the country recorded 5 percent GDP growth in both 2024 and 2025, while foreign direct investment inflows reached US$1.06 billion in 2025, reflecting a 73 percent increase compared to the previous year.

The agency also revealed that BOI-approved projects valued at approximately US$1.9 billion are prepared to begin operations.

The BOI further highlighted that Sri Lanka permits 100 percent foreign ownership in most sectors while guaranteeing the repatriation of capital and profits.

In addition, the agency promoted Sri Lanka’s strategic location in the Indian Ocean and its skilled English-speaking workforce as major advantages for potential investors.
