Two leading drug traffickers, identified as Shiran Basic and Alto Dharme, have reportedly been arrested in United Arab Emirates, according to emerging reports.
Police Media Spokesman ASP F. U. Wootler stated that although the two suspects had been taken into custody in Dubai, authorities in the UAE had not yet officially informed Sri Lankan security agencies about the arrests.
Further details regarding the arrests and any possible extradition procedures are yet to be confirmed officially.
