The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal submitted by President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, to appoint Mrs. M.K.D.N. Madampe, a Special Grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service currently serving as Additional Director General of the Department of Management Services, as the new Director General of the Department of Management Services with immediate effect.
The appointment was made following the vacancy created by the transfer of former Director General Mr. Wimal S.K. Liyanagama to the position of Director General of Customs.
A committee had been appointed by the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development to recommend a suitable officer for the post. The committee’s recommendations formed the basis for Mrs. Madampe’s appointment.
