The Colombo High Court is set to deliver judgments today (26) in four corruption cases filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) against former Deputy Minister Sarana Gunawardena.

The verdicts, initially scheduled for April 30 before High Court Judge Mohamed Mihal, were postponed to May 26.

The cases relate to allegations that Gunawardena, while serving as Chairman of the National Lotteries Board in 2006, caused financial losses to the state by acquiring vehicles for the institution on a rental basis.

Oral submissions in the cases were concluded earlier this year before the court fixed the date for the judgments.
