The local rugby governing body stated that the suspensions will remain in effect from 22 May to 21 November after its Executive Committee approved sanctions recommended by the Independent Disciplinary Committee Tribunal.
According to SLR, the disciplinary action stems from supplementary proceedings conducted in connection with behaviour deemed inappropriate towards a match official during a rugby-related incident.
The governing body further announced that throughout the suspension period, both individuals will be barred from taking part in any rugby activity conducted, organised, sanctioned, or recognised under SLR jurisdiction.
The restrictions include participation as players, involvement in coaching or training activities, attendance at rugby venues, and engagement in any administrative or promotional events linked to the sport.
SLR also informed all affiliated stakeholders of the decision, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining discipline, respect, and integrity within Sri Lankan rugby.
