According to the latest statistics released by the SLTDA, a total of 990,032 international tourists have arrived in the country so far this year.
The Authority noted that 113,755 foreign visitors entered Sri Lanka during the first 24 days of May alone.
India remained the top source market for tourist arrivals during the period, with 46,998 visitors arriving from the country.
Meanwhile, 7,287 tourists arrived from the United Kingdom, while China recorded 7,250 arrivals and Germany contributed 5,782 tourists.
For comparison, Sri Lanka recorded a total of 132,919 tourist arrivals in May 2025.
