A special official meeting was held recently at the Ministry premises between Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Major General (Retd.) Nayyar Naseer, and the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Hinduuma Sunil Senevi.
During the discussions, both sides focused on enhancing the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries, with special emphasis on several key areas including the promotion of religious and cultural cooperation, strengthening religious and cultural education, expanding postgraduate educational opportunities, implementing youth and student exchange programmes, and boosting tourism development.
The meeting was also attended by Bilal Khan, Additional Secretary (Cultural Promotion and Foreign Affairs) Dhammika Wijesinghe, Senior Assistant Secretary (Foreign Affairs) L.V. Hettiarachchi, and Minister’s Public Relations Officer Kalpa Isuru, along with several other officials.
