Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has called for an All Party Conference to address the country’s ongoing economic challenges, including the continued depreciation of the Sri Lankan Rupee.

In a post shared on X, Premadasa stressed that growing economic uncertainty and pressure on the rupee should not be viewed through a partisan lens. He said the opposition has decided to formally request President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to convene an All Party Conference aimed at identifying urgent national solutions.

Premadasa further warned that economic pressures could intensify if immediate measures are not taken to stabilize the situation and restore confidence in the economy.

The call comes amid increasing public concern over currency fluctuations, rising living costs, and broader economic instability affecting businesses and households across the country.
