He made these remarks today (20) after appearing before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court.
Responding to questions from journalists regarding the possibility of legal proceedings over the incident near the memorial, Weerawansa stated that he would not avoid any case filed in connection with attempts to pay tribute to war heroes by placing a floral wreath.
He further said that they would not hesitate to face legal action if efforts to honor war heroes were being prevented.
