According to a report issued by the centre, the highest number of partially damaged houses has been reported from the Kalutara District, with 90 houses affected.
The report further states that partial house damages have also been recorded in several other districts, including 22 houses in Ratnapura District, 14 in Galle District, four in Monaragala District, 25 in Batticaloa District, five in Colombo District, four in Jaffna District, 25 in Gampaha District, two in Hambantota District, two in Anuradhapura District, five in Mannar District, and two in Trincomalee District.
Meanwhile, one house has been completely destroyed in the Ratnapura District due to the severe weather conditions.
The Disaster Management Centre also noted that 1,582 families have been affected by the adverse weather situation.
The affected families have been reported from 66 Divisional Secretariat divisions across the island. In total, 5,267 individuals belonging to 1,582 families have been impacted by the disaster, according to the statement issued by the centre.
