Speaking to the media outside his residence in Chennai, Rajinikanth also responded to criticism surrounding his recent meeting with former Chief Minister M. K. Stalin.
The actor rejected claims that the meeting carried any political motive or was connected to Vijay’s rise to power, emphasizing that personal friendships should not be interpreted politically.
Rajinikanth also dismissed speculation suggesting he was unhappy or resentful over Vijay assuming the state’s top political office, firmly defending his personal character and intentions.
His remarks come shortly after Vijay was sworn in as Chief Minister following a landmark election victory, in what is being viewed as a major political transformation in Tamil Nadu.
