Drone strike causes fire at nuclear power plant in Abu Dhabi

A drone strike has caused a fire at an electrical generator at the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant in the UAE’s al-Dhafra region.In a post on X, Abu Dhabi’s media office said no injuries were reported and there was no impact on radiological safety levels after the fire outside the inner perimeter of the power plant.


Israel continues its deadly attacks on southern Lebanon and says it has attacked 100 sites in two days, after negotiators from the two countries agreed to extend a purported “ceasefire” for an additional 45 days.
