According to police, officers discovered three iron levers used for railway track switching concealed inside the suspect’s house, along with a number of tools believed to have been used in removing the equipment.
The items were subsequently taken into police custody for further investigations.
The suspect, identified as a 27-year-old resident of Wanawasala, had been arrested on suspicion of removing railway components, believed to be linked to the incident. Police stated that further investigations are currently underway.
