The Minister stated that suitable nominations for the commission’s membership positions have already been received.
According to him, the commission will focus on addressing unresolved salary disparities, wage-related issues, and pension concerns affecting retired public servants that have remained unsettled for many years.
He further noted that the commission will be empowered to summon representatives from relevant institutions and trade unions to gather information and discuss existing salary-related grievances.
The establishment of the Salary Commission fulfills a proposal presented by the President in the previous national budget.
