The Department of Railways has announced that train services on the Puttalam railway line have now returned to normal operations after being temporarily restricted due to flooding in the Thilladi area.
Earlier, railway operations on the Puttalam line had been limited only up to Chilaw after floodwaters submerged sections of the railway track near the Thilladi Railway Station.
Railway authorities stated that the affected tracks have now been cleared and inspected, allowing regular train services to resume along the route.
