Sri Lanka Police signs landmark MoU with Vietnam Police Academy

The Sri Lanka Police has entered into a special Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vietnam’s People’s Police Academy aimed at further developing the professional capabilities of the Sri Lanka Police to meet international standards.

The MoU was signed between the People’s Police Academy of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the National Police Training Institute of Sri Lanka. The partnership is expected to strengthen policing capabilities in both countries through collaboration in professional police education and training, scientific and academic research, and the exchange of international knowledge and best practices.

Lieutenant General Tran Minh Hung signed the agreement on behalf of Vietnam’s People’s Police Academy, while Deputy Inspector General of Police Manjula Mahagirilla signed on behalf of Sri Lanka’s National Police Training Institute.

Sri Lanka Police stated that the strategic partnership marks a significant step toward enhancing the force’s international engagement, research capacity, and professional standards while aligning its capabilities with globally recognized policing benchmarks.
