Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has left the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption after recording a statement over the alleged Airbus aircraft deal linked to SriLankan Airlines.

Rajapaksa spent nearly two hours at the Bribery Commission providing a statement in relation to allegations that USD 2 million in bribes had been paid during the purchase of Airbus aircraft for SriLankan Airlines.

The former President had been summoned by the commission to appear before investigators today ( 12).
