The visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Belarus, which marked the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties last year.
During the visit to Minsk, Minister Herath is scheduled to call on Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and hold bilateral discussions with Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.
He will also meet Belarusian Ministers of Education and Health, with discussions expected to focus on expanding cooperation in multiple sectors.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements across different areas are expected to be signed during the visit.
Minister Herath will also address a business and tourism roundtable organized by the National Export Centre of Belarus, aimed at promoting trade and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
