Sri Lanka, India Discuss USD 450 Million Reconstruction Package

Sri Lanka and India have held discussions regarding a USD 450 million post-conflict reconstruction package, according to the Ministry of Finance.

The discussions took place during a meeting held yesterday (10) between Deputy Finance Minister Anil Jayantha Fernando and Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha.

The Finance Ministry stated that both sides focused on matters related to the reconstruction package while also discussing ways to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The meeting also highlighted ongoing cooperation between Sri Lanka and India in areas of development, economic collaboration and post-conflict recovery initiatives.
