The Ministry of Finance Sri Lanka has increased the special commodity levy on imported maize to Rs. 50 per kilogram.
The revision has been announced through an Extraordinary Gazette notification.
Accordingly, the new levy rate will be effective from May 5, 2026 until December 31, 2026.
