President of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed visited the Colombo National Museum yesterday (05) as part of cultural engagements during the President’s ongoing State Visit to Sri Lanka.

Upon arrival, the President and First Lady were warmly received by senior officials of the museum and were taken on a guided tour of its galleries. The tour offered an in-depth look at Sri Lanka’s rich historical narrative, with exhibits showcasing the country’s history, cultural heritage, and traditions.

During the visit, President Muizzu signed the Visitors’ Book, expressing appreciation for the continued efforts to preserve and present Sri Lanka’s heritage for future generations. First Lady Sajidha Mohamed also signed the Visitors’ Book, noting that the visit provided meaningful insight into the stories, traditions, and artistry that have shaped the nation’s identity.

The cultural engagement forms part of broader efforts to enhance mutual understanding and further strengthen bilateral relations between Maldives and Sri Lanka.
