This marks President Muizzu’s first visit to the country since assuming office in 2023.
The visit was undertaken at the invitation of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
During the visit, bilateral discussions were held focusing on strengthening long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Several agreements were also signed, with both sides entering into seven Memoranda of Understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation.
