Maldives president visits Maldives High Commission in Colombo

Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed visited the Maldives High Commission in Colombo, where they took part in the inauguration of National Identity Card and electronic passport issuance services.

The ceremony marked a significant step in enhancing consular services for Maldivian citizens residing in Sri Lanka, enabling easier access to essential identification and travel documents. The newly launched services are expected to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiency for the Maldivian community.

During the visit, President Muizzu highlighted the importance of modernizing public services and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening support for citizens abroad.
