So far this year, 25,846 cases have been recorded, with the death toll reaching 12, including two children under the age of 12.
The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) has announced that special dengue eradication programs will commence from tomorrow ( 06) in high-risk areas.
According to Dr. Prashila Samaraweera, Consultant Specialist at the NDCU, the programs will primarily target the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, and Galle.
