Minister Murashko is also expected to visit the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo as part of his official engagements.
A seven-member delegation led by the Russian Health Minister arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday morning for a three-day visit.
During the visit, the health ministries of Sri Lanka and Russia are expected to sign several bilateral agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs).
Discussions between the two sides will focus on enhancing cooperation across key healthcare sectors, including pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, training and advanced specialization for medical professionals, academic and research collaboration, Ayurvedic medicine, digital health services, and health tourism.
Minister Murashko and his delegation are scheduled to conclude the visit and depart the island tomorrow.
