A Sri Lankan twin delegation departed the island yesterday (28) to participate in what is being described as the world’s largest “twin” festival, scheduled to be held in China.

The international event is set to take place in the city of Mojian, China, from the 30th of this month until the 4th of the following month. Organizers say the festival will bring together more than 100,000 twins from around 70 countries, making it one of the most unique global gatherings of its kind.

The Sri Lankan twin team will showcase a variety of cultural performances during the event, including traditional dance items, songs, poems, and storytelling segments that highlight Sri Lanka’s identity and heritage.

Officials stated that the delegation aims to represent the country’s cultural diversity and strengthen international cultural ties through their performances.
