A group of Buddhist monks, including Vietnamese nationals residing in the United States, who recently visited Sri Lanka to take part in a peace pilgrimage titled the “Ehipasiko – Walk for World Peace,” have departed the country today (29th) morning.

The monks left Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake at around 7:12 a.m., bound for Istanbul, Türkiye. From there, they are scheduled to continue their journey to the United States via a connecting flight.

The group had arrived in Sri Lanka to participate in the symbolic peace march aimed at promoting global harmony and interfaith goodwill.
