Asanga Seneviratne elected President of National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka

Asanga Seneviratne has been elected as the new President of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka following the committee’s election held today (25).

Five candidates had contested for the position, including Sri Lanka Football Federation President Jaswar Umar, Sri Lanka Shooting Federation Vice President Shiranta Peiris, and Sri Lanka Baseball Federation President Asanga Seneviratne, among others.

In the final vote, Seneviratne secured 16 votes, earning him the presidency of the National Olympic Committee for the next four-year term.
