The advisory, released in evening today (23), will remain valid for the next 24 hours.
According to the NBRO, Level 1 (Yellow) warnings urging residents to remain vigilant have been issued for the following areas:
Kurunegala District: Ridigama Divisional Secretariat Division and nearby areas
Ratnapura District: Kuruwita, Kalawana, Ratnapura, Nivithigala, Pelmadulla, and Eheliyagoda Divisional Secretariat Divisions, along with surrounding areas
Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions in view of possible landslide risks.
