At the final event, a sapling of the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, which is being carried during the walk, will be formally handed over by Anura Kumara Dissanayake to members of the Maha Sangha who have travelled from the United States.

Following the ceremony, the Venerable Theros will proceed to the Gangaramaya Temple to launch the “We are the Design” programme organised by the National Design Centre.

The peace walk is being held with the support of multiple institutions, including the Presidential Secretariat, Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Department of Government Information, Sri Lanka Police, the Tri-Forces, and several public and private sector organisations.
