Police Media Spokesman F. U. Wootler stated that such claims are “completely false” and confirmed that no such threat has been reported.
His statement follows media reports suggesting that a person linked to underworld figure Kanjipani Imran had been arrested in connection with an alleged plot.
While confirming that a suspect associated with the gang leader was arrested during a raid in Ja-Ela yesterday, ASP Wootler clarified that there is no evidence to support claims that the individual was planning bomb attacks.
He added that the suspect is currently in custody and further investigations are ongoing.
