In a statement, Jorgensen said his department will present measures to member states to help them address the short-term impact of the war, including prolonged market disruptions, soaring fuel prices and potential supply shortages.
He said the measures will address electrification and jet fuel, adding that the whole commission needs to coordinate on gas storage.
Jorgensen also said that he did not believe a windfall tax at the European level was necessary for the moment.
