Police Spokesman F. U. Wootler said the arrest was made on Monday (April 20) in the Ja-Ela, Kala Road area, following intelligence-led operations.
The suspect, a 38-year-old resident of Colombo 15, has been identified as an associate of Kanjipani Imran, who is believed to be currently overseas.
Police further said that investigations into the suspect and possible links to organized criminal activities are ongoing, led by the Counter-Terrorism and Investigation Division.
