He stated that his party is fully prepared for this transition and confident about future developments.
Commenting on upcoming events, he said the party will not hold traditional May Day celebrations this year as it falls on a Poya day, and will instead engage in religious activities.
Meanwhile, post–New Year activities at the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna headquarters at Nelum Mawatha began today ( 20) under his patronage, alongside the party’s National Organizer and MP Namal Rajapaksa.
The event was attended by party supporters as well as several former and current SLPP parliamentarians.
