According to the Authority, awards will be presented across several categories, including industry, projects and institutions, media, and the social sector. The awards aim to recognize outstanding contributions toward environmental protection and sustainable practices in Sri Lanka.
Winners will be eligible for Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit Environmental Awards, which will be presented during the official ceremony.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in October 2026 under the patronage of the President at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.
The initiative seeks to encourage innovation in environmental management, sustainable development, and nature conservation, and is open to all sectors contributing toward safeguarding the environment.
