He was received at the Bandaranaike International Airport at approximately 9:30 a.m., accompanied by a delegation of 49 members, according to local reports. A group of Sri Lankan ministers, including Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage, welcomed the visiting delegation at the airport’s VIP lounge.
During his stay, Vice President Radhakrishnan is scheduled to engage in high-level bilateral discussions with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya. These meetings are expected to focus on enhancing cooperation and reinforcing longstanding diplomatic relations between India and Sri Lanka.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit will also feature participation in several official events, along with meetings with political representatives and community leaders.
Vice President Radhakrishnan is expected to conclude his visit and depart the country tomorrow (20).
